This family is so great. We have about 20 connections reaching back into time, but we’ve only been friends for maybe 4 years now.
It’s kind of a miracle we are such good friends because this family lives in South Austin, and we’re on the northside, and that’s practically the difference between Dallas and San Antonio. No one crosses Austin during the weekday. Unless it’s at 5:45 am to run Town Lake… which is mostly how we became such good friends. Adriane and I trained with one other gal (hi Sarah!) for the Austin Marathon in 2013. Marathon training will really acquaint you with a person. Nothing like hours and hours and hours spent doing nothing but running and talking to really deepen a relationship.
Despite the distance between our homes (really only like 17 miles), I do get to see this sweet family from time to time, and it’s always a joy. They are hilarious, they love each other (and the people in their lives) well, and… well, 3 boys, I kind of love that.
Their third boy is a precious foster child, so he can’t really show his beautiful face on the internet, but I’ll put one of him turning the wrong way… and then you can imagine how great all the other family pictures are!
I love these people too! Hey S and A! And E and A and Baby!!!!
